Truro City boss Lee Hodges regards National League South as ‘crazy’ because so many teams are bunched together at the top of the table.City drew 2-2 at Welling after goals by Cody Cooke and Tyler Harvey had put them ahead early in the second half.Truro are seventh, but only three points off top spot despite not winning any of their last four games.

“It shows you how crazy this league is and how difficult it is to pick points up,” Hodges told BBC Radio Cornwall.Only eight points separate leaders Dartford from 12th-placed Bath City, while Poole Town, who occupy the final relegation place, are only 15 points off the play-offs.”We’re in a fantastic position, three points off the top, still in the play-offs and plenty more craziness to come for the rest of the season,” said Hodges.”We dug in (at Welling) to get a point, we maybe could have nicked it, we hit the crossbar, but they had a goal disallowed.”Hodges – whose side have a break from the league next week when they travel to the National League’s second-placed side Sutton United in the FA Trophy – expects their division to be close all through the campaign.”It shows you how very even all the teams are this season. It looks like there isn’t going to be any runaway leaders, but it also looks like that if you’re not at it in a game you will get beaten,” he added.”I’ve said that so many times this season, it’s such a difficult league, and so very even, so you just have to worry about yourself, don’t worry about anyone else, and try and pick up as many points as possible.”
